FedEx Ground

Context

FedEx Ground needed to modernize package-processing steps in its facilities that had not changed for years, on a scanner with a screen not much larger than a smartwatch.

Discovery

I planned and ran workshops with FedEx stakeholders and technology teams, built personas and user journeys, and defined the information architecture for the key tasks.

Proof of concept

A quick proof of concept of the core experience gave stakeholders something tangible and won approval for the full project.

Validation

Usability tests checked hypotheses for each task, such as logging in and handling a damaged barcode, and fed the iterations during delivery.
